[Open Office] OOo Status digest issue #2 - May 14 2007

This is the weekly status digest of what the Novell
OpenOffice team is up to. It will relate changes made to OpenOffice
(ooo-build or upstream) and list important work in progress.


Week May-07 to May-13 2007


New:
- The patch npower7 is in ooo-build trunk (forgotten in last week
digest)
- WPG import has been added to the writerperfect filter (ooo-build)
- OOo 2.2 packages for SLED10-SP1 at
  http://go-oo.org/red-carpet/ooo-680/sled-10-sp-i586/
  http://go-oo.org/red-carpet/ooo-680/sled-10-sp-x86_64/
 and openSUSE-10.3 at

 The packages for SL 10.1 and openSUSE-10.2 should be built
 automatically in the Build Service within the next few days. Then you

Still In progress:
- evaluating the use of git as a version control system for OpenOffice.
Main obstacle: windows.
- OpenXML import / export (Excel and PowerPoint) in the xmlfilter02 CWS
- OpenXML (Word) in the writerfilter2 CWS
- More VBA support (npower7 and npower8 CWS)
